The ARPA 3 Rec Center project aimed to support Detroit’s sustainable transportation efforts by installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at key community recreation centers. By expanding the city’s EV infrastructure, the project provided residents and visitors with greater access to clean transportation options. In addition to promoting sustainability, the initiative enhanced public facilities by integrating modern, eco-friendly technology that improves the overall experience for community members. This effort also aligned with the City of Detroit’s broader environmental goals, reinforcing a commitment to long-term climate responsibility through strategic infrastructure improvements.

Project Result

Successfully installed EV charging stations at three strategic locations:

    • Kemeny Recreation Center – 2260 S Fort St, Detroit, MI 48217

    • Lasky Recreation Center – 13200 Fenelon St, Detroit, MI 48212

    • Williams Recreation Center – 8431 Rosa Parks Blvd, Detroit, MI 48206
